Global Missions

Through her upcoming mission trip to Romania, Yekci is taking her first step into global missions, answering God’s call to serve beyond her community and share the hope of the Gospel internationally.

Yekci Mayralene Quirós Patterson is a young woman with a heart to serve and a genuine love for God. From an early age, she has shown a sincere desire to grow in her faith and to live it out in practical ways, using her gifts and talents to serve others.

Our family was planted by God at Orlando Baptist Church in September 2019, and since then we have witnessed Yekci’s spiritual growth firsthand. Over the years, God has been shaping her character, strengthening her faith, and stirring in her heart a growing interest in missions and Christian service.

Yekci is actively involved in several ministries within our church. She serves in the nursery ministry, supports the technology ministry by assisting with graphics and lighting during services, and participates in the cleaning ministry, where our family serves together one Saturday each month preparing the church for Sunday service. She also faithfully attends Sunday Bible study and is part of the youth group Alive Students, which meets every Wednesday.

Beyond her involvement in ministry, Yekci has a teachable spirit and a genuine desire to grow in her relationship with Christ. Her commitment reflects a faith that goes beyond words—one that is expressed through service, obedience, and a willingness to help wherever she is needed.

The Romania Mission Trip will be Yekci’s first mission trip and marks an important step in her spiritual journey. She has expressed with conviction her desire to be part of this experience, responding to God’s call to serve others and to carry the message of Christ beyond our borders.

We are deeply grateful for what God is doing in Yekci’s life and give all the glory to Him. This journey is not just about traveling to another country—it is about growth, service, and trusting God’s purpose every step of the way.
